Long version:
I was looking for a wireless adapter for my OpenELEC Media Center for my bedroom. Since the cable pipes are a bit full (DVB-C cable nachverlegt), and I did not want to put cat cable came, only WLAN in question.
My Raspi is about 8 meters from the WLAN AP away (distance), but in between there is a 1.5 m thick solid walls, on the other hand the WLAN Duch "disturbed" the magnetic field of the TV.
Installation was straightforward, OpenELEC recognized the stick without any problems, the connection was established using WPA2-PSK it immediately (the button on the front I have not tested, I feel that thing anyway as mischief:]).
So in my case, I needed a decent speed to stream even FullHD content with up to 24GB unterbrechnugsfrei.
And that was frankly: that will not do, and I did not expect.
Of the theoretical 150 Mbit only a maximum of 100Mbit remain after the WLAN AP anyway left. This would theoretically be enough to said 24GB movie into 32 minute copy entirely, but only in theory, because compact by the local circumstances, and due to the (added) design creates the stick around only 40% of the declared maximum throughput, but what - compared with other hardware is quite amazing!
The fact that the 150Mbit never run out completely is not surprising, because these values reflect system-specific maximum values under laboratory conditions
Smaller FullHD movies to about 9GB work fine, but the data rate is enough.
I was expecting exactly this circumstance and will simply copy my HDD to great movies;)
Strong buy recommendation!
