Hard of hearing, I sought a housing that allows me to listen to the TV from the optical audio output so as not to mute the tv. I could hook up my Sennheiser wireless headset to samsung tv without problems. The sound is okay and with this converter, I can also listen to HD channels. Just a little flat, the manual is in English, a French version would be welcome. To overcome this drawback, I asked the connection issues to the supplier who replied no problem in a very short time. Would recommend
