I have not done throughput tests but just checked his 3 USB compatibility backward compatible with USB 2 and that's OK. The power is sufficient to feed at least one disk and some wifi and bluetooth dongles. The presence of a pulse to switch is questionable. On the one hand I do not see much use other than to be able to cut its power without unplugging the adapter or power plug the adapter without risking grilling by transient overvoltage. By cons is problematic in case of power failure seen that it does not turn back on itself at the current return. A forgotten except put it on a UPS if it is used to power critical devices (required for proper operation of the system)
