These shortcomings, the old design of the KOSS headphones and some constructive defects (strap breaks like to hair out) meant that I have been looking for alternatives. I was also interested in what for Sennheiser now has to offer. Set in a large electronics store then I could see the new Sennheiser PX 100-II in direct comparison with the Koss Porta Pro try (touchdown and Preview).
Sound:
~~~~~~
The Sennheiser PX 100-II sounds significantly better than the KOSS PORTA PRO (sound is much more transparent, better middle, neutral sound impression, yet he brings clean, powerful bass) and also exceeds the previous PX 100 in the sound.
Comfort and design:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The headset sits with me very pleasant on the head, as I am used to in more expensive Sennheiser headphones. That style of Sennheiser headphones is really modern and does not look like from the last century (as in KOSS Porta Pro). The current design of the PX 100-II like it even better than that of its predecessor PX 100th
The way in which you can fold the Sennheiser PX 100-II, I find really smart. This is a successful design, the headphones ultimately protects better than other folding techniques that I've seen so far. I was pleasantly surprised at what is possible.
In short, sound, comfort and design I like very much.
Service and spare parts:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Even with the procurement of spare parts you get the usual Sennheiser Service.
The ear pads and headband pad are identical to those of the PX 100 of the first version (item no. 089 331 088 115 and available from Sennheiser and in other web shops).
The change is very likely to both headrests as well as the ear cushions.
Conclusion:
~~~~~~
The Sennheiser PX 100-II headphones shows the quality that I expect when I hear the name Sennheiser. Also the service (request has been processed quickly, extensive FAQ on the website) and the supply of spare parts are excellent.
Sennheiser has succeeded with the PX 100-II again. My Koss Porta Pro headphones I have replaced by modern Sennheiser PX 100-II. My thanks go to the employees of Sennheiser for successful product update from the PX 100 to the new PX 100-II, the much better I like it and has done it, the old KOSS Porta Pro to push from the throne with me.
