My mother (75) wanted a new television necessarily admittedly, the old man was really nothing more. I thought only "Oh God". OK, in the end I am I ordered the Samsung. Promptly delivered (thanks Amazon!) I was allowed after two days antanzen for setting up at Mom.
Assembly is required (see description below), then Cabling: Power, Cable, HDMI (nuts also has a Samsung BluRay player to get), old VCR via scart adapter (included).
Turn On.
As nowadays with every washing machine, a setup wizard appears. Who wants a few things to know (eg. B. Language, date, time). Besides still appears the initialization message from the smart card into the CI + module. Then the station search - done.
Nuts is enthusiastic.
The remote control is equipped with large and clearly labeled buttons. The menu is in German - that it were not so, was her greatest fear. The picture quality is - not only in HD - excellent and the sound is even acceptable for the size of the speakers. Together we are still the alphabetical sender list from the initial scan and gone (The first is just not on 1 but on 42). For resorting then but was tired; The alphabetic principle is not difficult to understand.
Nice features:
BluRay player drawer, TV turns on, goes to the correct HDMI channel and plays CD, DVD or BluRay. TV remote controls BluRay player.
Inserted VHS tapes in the VCR of anno Tobak: TV turns on and goes to the correct AV channel. Of course TV remote control has no idea of VCR ;-)
USB flash drive plugged with vacation photos in USB jack: TV turns on, goes on Multimedia and asks if he should start playing slide (at least something like that).
Also, I am really impressed by the intuitive and simple user interface and from the many automatic functions that make life easy with this TV.
Incidentally, I would like to mention that we were able to reduce the most troublesome number of four remote controls (TV, digital cable box, DVD player, VCR) to two (TV, VCR) with this TV.
The only downer in equipment dance: The device does not have analog audio output; Headphone jack is present, but when booking the switches the built-in speakers off permanently. Just like with RCA cable to conventional stereo can not. But there is a digital optical TOS link connection for the surround receiver (if one has since a).

Here the experience report from the assembly:
The packaged device is lightweight and easy to transport through its bureaus proportions still unpacking is when you approach with due respect to the cause, for bumpkin like me to deal with successfully. The second challenge is the installation of the CI + module (if any required): For this purpose you have to pull on the back of TV a sticker covering the contact and holding openings for the plastic frame with plug adapters (hmm - stickers ...). Caution: the corresponding adapter is included as an accessory, but it is so windy and inconspicuous that it can be quickly confused with a transport lock and then u may even end up in the garbage.. The adapter is then simply pushed into the holding openings and clicks into place - can not go wrong one. (Must be purchased separately to match the provider) As in now comes the CI + module and in turn, the smart card, which you must obtain from its provider is (in my case, cable Germany).
Here we come to the single event: You can plug in the CI + module with both the front and the back to the viewer - there are no guides that prevent an incorrect inserting. In my case, it has been shown that the CI + module must be used so that one (just not the colorful label side) is shown the back of the module when you install it on the TV back panel.
