Janee, not quite.
The pendulum can indeed be properly roll in the track, but you get only one side contact. Probably the track from a different generation, like the pendulum, because otherwise there would have to mass complaints.
Well, after I had armed excluded with meter and alternative bulbs all other sources of error, I have shone on the ladder standing times in the rail and had the enlightenment ...
Interim Solution: The wheels can be solved to the gondolas of the pendulum and some "slack" has worked, but led to the quite expectable loose contacts.
Final Solution: The wheels of the gondolas of the pendulum unscrew, put behind the underlying brass strips a 1mm thick pad in the same size and screw the wheels again. Henceforth, everything went perfectly.
All in all this a few hours strenuous troubleshooting cost me (our ceilings are very high, the conductors therefore :-) why I pull a star.
