No, unfortunately not. I expect that I will respond as did, after all, Sony is actually for quality, is, after all, a technology group. At first I was excited, but subsided quickly. You get used to while on Win8, but I'm still not really hot so. At least I can I download a small program with which I have the "Start" button to get back.
Processing is broadly ok, I only specifically on touchpad suspend what. It reacted only too sensitive, and was still sluggish (in single cursor dragging "recognized" the touchpad permanently double, very annoying ...), I could change this in the settings in which I switched off the multi-touch function. Really pleased I am nevertheless not as I find the mouse movement is still too slow.
Many complain about the fan, I can indeed confirm that it runs almost constantly, I personally do not feel noisy or distracting to.
The Blu-Ray drive is ok, only the reading in precisely this takes a little longer than usual. The picture quality is ok, since this is "only" an HD Ready display is should not high-end movie experience await ;-) The same applies to the built-in speakers, they are good, but I prefer to listen about my headphones.
Overall, I was on the performance a bit disappointed, although I am a layman in the field, but since I have a desktop PC has the similar values (Intel Core i3, 2.4GHz, 6GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive), I those used for comparison. Overall, I gained the impression that the notebook a bit slower than my PC, despite better processor. The time now is no screw, but I find it already on. Also breaks sometimes happy times from the WLAN connection, even though I only 3m away from the router seats (mobile, tablet and PS3 since have no problem), what it is I do not know.
The battery is satisfactory, lasts me about 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Depending on what I'm doing (surfing, Blu-Ray look, etc.)
Absolutely positive highlight is the keyboard for me! Just great, she has a, for me, very good tactile feedback and are working that gives me a lot of fun with it. And so a backlit keyboard is already fine if you've never had that before ;-)
All in all, I'm a bit disappointed so far of this Vaio, but maybe I just expected too much too easy (a real performance monster so to speak ^^).
Supplement 05:04 .: Meanwhile the Vaio once fully smoked, what it was I can not say when booting it showed for a millisecond an error message and then launched a diagnosis and then a sort of repair program. This worked well until the 100% mark, then unfortunately nothing happened ... was indeed lit screen, but black. Also off the boot and the same again, Vaio logo and charging circuit were still displayed, then nothing more.
My Solution: When switched off, press the "Assist" button, so you get into "Recovery" menu, there I was able to reset the Vaio to their default settings. Since nothing is more kind occurred, and that remains so hopefully :-)
