This burner I bought as an internal drive for my desktop PC. However, it must be remembered that you need both a SATA adapter and a mounting adapter. The SATA Asnchluss the drive is a combined mSATA connector with data and power cables in one. Just as it is just standard in laptops. The installation in a 5-inch bay also does not succeed without an adapter, since the drive is narrow. But there is suitable adapter to the drive still be able to install. For installation I used this mounting frame and the SATA connector this adapter.

The drive is extremely quiet and makes even when reading a complete DVD no appreciable noise. Operation is no problem under Linux, where I however do not use such gimmicks as LightScribe or similar. The speed I have not further examined me it has always been enough, since I will carry out a long way copying actions. Because it seems to me not on a few minutes. The noise level is as important to me.

I would love to again test the advertised 100GB discs, but the currently displayed prices are beyond good and evil.
