To replace the Klipsch I was looking for a pair of really good headphones for listening to music on my Samsung Galaxy Note.
Started reading the reviews of the XBA 4 on all sorts of sites. Very confusing.
Some people Stated That thesis were the absolute top, others complained about the bass being to Thumpy and the midtones being crappy. Most people writing thesis reviews did not own the XBA 4's.
In Holland it is not possble to try inears out due to sanitory issues. Understandable but still a huge bet to buy a pair of headphones you can not test for seeking a price.
In the end I Decided to buy at Amazon Because of the pricing and the return policy.
I can tell you I'm not dissapointed. WOW! What a fantastic product Sony has sent into our world With These headphones.
All music I listen to just sounds really good with thesis. The highs are very clear, voices sound as if the singer is standing in front of you and are very rich in sound.
The Low's are the best I've ever heard. All instruments are very well defined and the music does not get "mucky".
And then the soundstage ... Put thesis XBA 4's in your ears and you experience the thrill of standing on stage with the Actually performers. The music is really all around you.
Of course the quality of thesis headphones, as with all headphones, can only be experienced with good source material.
As for fit and comfort:
They do not hurt my ears.
They loop around the back of your neck so When you take them out They hang off your shoulders.
They have good isolation from outside sounds.
I wear then riding my bike through the Dutch polders and enjoy the sound of music as never before! Hardly any wind noise.
It's really like listening to a pair of very expensive speakers.
I really love these headphones and would recommend them to anyone looking for a really good listening experience.
