Tourchrono 2013 brown

On a whim, I have the Festina Tour Chrono ordered me F16658 / 4, the digit 4 after the slash refers to the version with brown dial.
The F1665 series was launched to mark the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France. It is expressed as 16658 with stainless steel bracelet, as 16659 available with silicon strap and a 16660 as a limited edition. Except for the Edition issue that always comes in black / silver, the models with stainless steel or silicone bracelet in nine versions offered are denoted by a number after the model number, separated by a slash. Sio is acquired by me and described below clock model 16659/4, namely with brown dial and stainless steel bracelet.
Before I go into my clock, I will briefly describe the specificity of silicone bracelet available for this model: It actually is a steel band with a silicone cover. Very smart, because thus the comfort of a silicone band is combined with the durability of a steel strip. To my knowledge, quite unique and independent.

The reference to the most famous and biggest cycling race in the world shows the Chrono Bike 2013 very clearly. Starting with the wide and fixed bezel, which is presented as the side pinion as well as the chronograph dials. The bezel is brushed on the surface, with revolving figures of 10 to 60, which are deposited by a black PVD coating. The mineral glass is hardened and triple anti-reflective coating, so that even before dark dials is given always an excellent readability.
The watch case is very technical, the crown is marked with the Festina "F". The stopwatch is running, as with any other chronograph also the return of the large second hand (the current second is the display on the six past small chronograph sheet) are fluently.
Weak I find, however, that a Sport Chrono does not allow intermediate time measurements. Neither of the start lever to the two, nor by the stop lever on the four can stop the stopwatch so that they freeze despite the pointer movement in the background still measures the time. This can some of my chronograph that is less than 300, - have cost.

All in all, a sporty clock for men with not too slender wrists, which is exquisitely crafted and very high quality especially. I give a strong buy recommendation and consider for a blue finish with silicone band out.
