So when this lens against the latest versions compares (eg 12-40 2.8) then the outset clear what is the winner. But I have after much back and forth to keep the lens because: - It simply a super zoom range has in ordinary light intensity - The picture quality is really good - And the price was affordable for me So the Four Thirds Adapter I had already, and objective cost me less than half of the MFT version. For more than 500 difference I take size and weight into account. Who, however, wants to make the new Zuiko 12-40 and 40-150 Pro 2.8, need not to look. For all other of the falling price might be worth considering.
Note: When auto-focus, I had something herumpröbeln to obtain satisfactory results. At the OMD E-M5 in iAUTO Program you hardly get out sharp images. In the P / A / S / M modes but it works properly when the focus is placed on S-AF middle then pivot (small or large focusing area); or the focal point is set on's display. Face recognition works pretty well, ie with the same restrictions as in the MFTS. The AF stage has obvious effort to interpret an entire image sharpness.
