I bought this unit and expect some weakness on the basis of the reviews here.
The enumerated here weaknesses (to which I would like to address the same) were:
- For easy adjustment
- Not quite as robust in material
- Slip on slippery ground
- Computer does not work
With these problems I could have lived quite and wanted to convince myself for the currently reduced in price Amazon itself from the unit.
After only 2 days delivery time the unit was there.
Here is my first point of criticism (I count my own conscious criticisms on first):
The assembly instructions are properly, as there is nothing wrong with it, but I would advise any buyer directly to to take proper tool to help.
The included Allen tools may still be okay, but the in-1 3-end wrench is absolutely inaktzeptabel. He has, so that the structure designed as a thin handle and a relative thereto oversized head so difficult.
After building I then realized that this rowing machine is not as you know it from the Gym, has a cable system at idle, but that this device simply works over a latex rope with adjustable resistance. This was not to be seen from the description.
The joy of train you will not automatically lose, on the contrary, I find this system for at home even quite pleasant, especially since a number of other exercises such as weight training by holding the voltage thus are possible.
Every buyer should be aware but the time of purchase.
What not bother me in the pictures so unfortunately can not be seen but is the fact that the steel frame is at the seat runs significantly steeper angle in the ground, as it is known from professional equipment. By this angle of the seat automatically moves forward again when not supported with your feet. When training makes this no problem, because you automatically go along in the movement.
In the total length of 1.73m makes it is a height difference of 20cm.
Another point of criticism concerns but then the computer. This worked for me though properly, but only after I had installed the batteries not included.
This was not in the manual nor anywhere else to read. There is accordingly only "The computer is started by pressing the F key or by simply training start automatically".
Otherwise, I had no problems so far with the computer.
As I have processed the complaint directly to the computer I would like to address the following on the remaining points:

This point of criticism I can not understand so far. While there are only 4 steps, but at least the 4th stage should be sufficient for endurance training.
It is not a question, after 10 min training to reach the power limit. Rowing has to do with technique and endurance. I worked for several years in the rowing club and on bad days was partly trained in professional rowing machines in the gym. There, too, the highest level did not play. Preferring instead was trained at a time with a lower level 30-40 minutes.
For untrained people, I do not think that makes sense with this device. But who trained for a certain time at a time on this unit, will soon discover that not neglected by the resistance of latex rope of muscle building.
- Not quite as robust in the material:
This point may even totally disagree. For this price range is decent on this device something to it. Steel and screws are well made and the plastic handles appear to me tenable.
The seat slides at least very well over the bar.
In the long run I would imagine, but that you have to replace the seat or its roles. This probably depends on the intensity of use. This should however probably in any device, even in higher price ranges.
Attached to the unit is a complete list of spare parts, even in the parts of the cable vormintierten mechanism are listed. So I think it should be no problem to buy Spare Parts In case of malfunction.
Mir, the device appears, however, not less stable than the equipment in the gym.
- Slipping on smooth ground:
This I can confirm. An anti-slip mat you should buy, otherwise you will actually rowing across the room. This may cause scratches on all floors, as the feet of hard Platik are (placed over the metal).
Conclusion:
It's really fun to train with this device.
Even I as a former active rowers like to sit on this unit.
The folding function even in my little apartment 42m² for space-saving storage and for home use to be recommended absolutely.
