Zeitoun is the true story of the Zeitoun Muslims, who lives in New Orleans. When hurricane "Katrina" makes the city, he left behind - but his wife and children to leave the sinking city. After a few days he is suddenly arrested without reason and put in jail. The real nightmare begins ... Zeitoun is well told, no question. But the real shocker is just that it is a true story. Is the personal description of the Katrina effect interesting, yet the effects on the justice system are outrageous. Without procedures, without charge numerous citizens were stuck for weeks in prison and not even the relatives have been informed. A real scandal! I liked the book extremely well-liked, but there are two points of criticism: The first part is a bit long. Although sympathy to be aroused with the family anecdotes from childhood of the protagonist, they're just a little unnecessary. Also the last part is a bit unsatisfying. While it is a bit 'what happened next, "but it is very ungeorndet. But the exciting middle part makes this shortcoming up for it.
