So is the old "standard version", the full Funkltionsumfang offered - just not for full-format cameras, but otherwise all -, disappeared.
Instead, there is a similarly expensive "essentials", but significantly less on functionality than the current "standard" version for similar price. For all newcomers with no full-frame camera, a very significant disadvantage in my opinion.
Is common to all versions is now that you have taken the perspective correction of the program, instead you now "Viewpoint" in addition to buy (so far this functionality was fully inclusive).
These are sometimes just a measly 79 zusätztlich (if it is not sold at a loss in any action that likes to do every now and then DXO for less - but you'll forgive my choice of words over the last 1.5 years I've gotten so much publicity to "Viewpoint" actions, that one has the feeling that no one buys and it will be sold off at Barker - has probably no one was indeed included - so far).
To date, the Standard Edition was 149 (mostly they were there for 99 as an introductory offer), so you have to pay for the same functionality now 199 plus Viewpoint plugin (= 79).
Nearly doubling.
Upgrade customers receive the standard version the upgrade for 69 (with a V1 ViewPoint license), which are 20 more than before.
All in all - in my opinion - the version 10 is a strong price increase for all "standard client" and you should really need to purchase additional in the future "Viewpoint", also for the elite customers.
Schade therefore a "protest-star" at this point. Otherwise, the program is good, in my view, a result of the new pricing policy, however, you should seriously deal with the comparable Adobe offerings, particularly the cloud offerings "Photography" are when you eh regularly updated, quite interesting.
Btw: I have Lightroom and DXO tried both. In fact, I got along better with DXO and had also "felt" better results, except for sunsets. I have no idea what makes DXO there but I got at several different sunsets with the improvement options very strange color gradations. The retired from DXO 7 (it struck me for the first time) by 10 to 9. I have not tried it yet.
Lightroom was there any reason in exactly these images significantly better, simply because of the gradient to the sun stayed out and did not get into saturation.
Interestingly, advertises DXO 10 with just a photo in which I had regular problems, perhaps one has actually improved what.
