Hardware super, but WP8 has not done homework.

I have a Nokia N8 and it had so far not managed for years, even after several attempts to replace it with a minimum gleichewertiges Smartphone (regarding equivalent. The things that are important to me, more on that later ...).
Since a few days I'm back on testing.
Currently in my review:
- Nokia Lumi 1020
- Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

What's really important to me in a smartphone:
- Synchronization with Outlook for Business (possible without cloud, but wirelessly eg via Bluetooth automatically Annhäherung to the PC like my N8). Direct Exchange access is due to company policy to Symbian and Windows Phone unfortunately not possible.

- Very good camera! Since then I have the N8, I use on vacation only my cell phone to take pictures. It is for this really good enough. In addition to excellent resolution daylight exteriors (which many other phones can equally well) in order to succeed especially indoor shots with flash outstanding, especially in flash distance
- Good internet capability, good, fast browser

- Based applications must be available or available as WhatsApp, File Manager, stopwatch etc

- Remote operation from a PC (I write on PC with 10 fingers and Whats Appen with clever keyboard is a dream)

- Swype! If already mice piano, then with Swype, no I would go mad.

- Language / speech input, ideally consistently by all applications such as browser, Maps, etc Store

- Efficient Select contact without calling only by 3 menu by the search.

- Well, then must halt the basics still exist such as reasonable battery life (at least 1 full day), scratch-resistant display (eg Gorilla Glass)

Now my review of Lumia 1020 according to the above evaluation Criteria:
- Synchronization with Outlook: 0 of 5 points.
Did it with two different add-ons do not get out. Is possibly also to the configuration of the computer company. For me, this is unfortunately a knock-out criterion!

- Very good camera: 5 of 5 points.
The camera is again better than my already excellent N8 camera in virtually every respect. Lightning is super strong, night images succeed to 4m Distance outstanding. Resolution, sharpness are great. Shutter lag is OK. Storage times a little long, but still OK. Many cell phone camera comparisons can be made on the Internet, the differences between conventional mobile phone cameras and the Lumia 1020 camera can be described as moderate. Probably the testers and writers want to stay out of trouble and actions einhandeln and judge therefore very diplomatically. I will not do here. The difference at any other cell phone camera (incl. IPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 For me seriously. When shooting with flash, a quantum leap. Even much better than the N8

- Good Internet capacity: 4 of 5 points
Good and fast browser, pages look like on your PC. Data transmission via WLAN and radio quickly enough, no bottlenecks noticeably.
Only criticism: WLAN you have to connect again and again manually when you come back into the WLAN area, the one who left before. Probably a bug, but annoying.

- Based applications available: 3 out of 5
Well, AppStore is thin, no putty, no SCP, WhatsApp in early versions. The small selection of apps, most of the useful apps are just only useful but not great.

- Remote operation from a PC: 0 of 5 points
In a nutshell: you can not. Microsoft has released the OS so restrictive held that no similar interface for VPN are. Too bad!

- Swype: 2 of 5 points:
Gibts not in WP8.0. But should come in 8.1 as own implementation.

- Language / speech input: 2 of 5 points
Selectively available, but not implemented throughout the OS. SMS writing is possible via voice recognition, but no search on the internet or local input in Navi. Very intelligent

- / Phone Efficient contact dial quickly: 1 of 5 points.
Finding contacts and select is too cumbersome, it takes too many clicks, that's really annoying and is not fun. Compare for a contact: N8: 5 clicks without delay. Lumi 1020: 9 clicks with a considerable time lag (400 contacts). That's incredible.

- Basics: 3 out of 5
Is the saddest for me is that I have to set the clock manually, and that it also goes wrong. Microsoft allows any application to set the time and at the same time they offer themselves only Syncronisation over cellular (non-Internet), but what does not support German mobile operator. Others, such as Android fetch time over the Internet, and time zone on GPL data. And at Nokia I do that manually it goes? Since one can only shake their heads.

Conclusion:
Pity pity pity. The camera is so awesome good Unfortunately, the Windows Phone OS has personally to return to me some knockout Kritierin that cause me unfortunately this really great smartphone (hardware). Pity! This phone with Android, that's it. Too bad that Nokia was purchased by Microsoft, not by Google :-(

Another phrase for Xperia Z1 Compact: there is the HW chic, the OS is good (Android), but the camera is frankly useless if you have to claim that they should be at least as good as that of the N8. Even if the rest would be a reason to buy (in every respect), and I will respect it. Camera not deteriorate so. Especially indoor record with the flash when Z1 totally unacceptable, the images appear dead that no one wants to see more! But perhaps enough for uploading to Facebook

Addendum on 04/21/2014:
I have now bought the iPhone 5s and will keep it.
The 5S has a surprisingly good camera, the pictures come out so actually better than with my old N8. While the image quality is still significantly worse than the 1020, for the 5s dissolves but very quickly and is immediately ready to shoot again where the 1020 is still far from saving (tripping takes the 1020 around 1.5 seconds saving ca . 3.5 seconds. When 5S both take together well under one second, which makes it significantly easier to take snapshots.
What 5s respect. My List has not remote connectivity using PC and Swype for accessibility. For this, however, the speech input with Siri is so impressively well that Swype and remote control capability have lost for me something important. And maybe comes Swype were yet at some point ...
