The Logitech Trackpad for Mac is not as high as the original, but otherwise almost exactly equal in height and width.
Benefits:
- Works with rechargeable battery which can be charged during operation (no batteries like Apple)
Disadvantages:
- (Permanently installed in the Macbook or Magic Trackpad) In a direct comparison with the trackpads on Apple, you realize that the Logitech Trackpad not responding as accurately as the original. If you drive, for example, with your fingertips on the Logitech Trackpad, it partially or not at all very delayed responding. For Apple it all goes without problems and with immediate response.
If one uses the trackpad slowly, it reacts slightly delayed, so one sweeps a very short distance, without the mouse pointer moves on the screen
- The click-pressure point is not as crisp as the Magic Trackpad from Apple, affects the click bit spongy
Conclusion: The Logitech trackpad is not a bad alternative, very well made and has the battery a real advantage. However, it is not as accurate and feels spongy when you operate a total. This subtle distinction was crucial for me to send it back again.
