I bought the pump in March 2011. She ran effectively in this period about 1.5 years, which is about 13,000 hours total. At first she was very quiet with good pumping capacity. However, over the months it grew louder. I built them apart and found that the vibrating diaphragm is partly made of hard plastic. A small permanent magnet is mounted in the armature. It is set by the alternating field of a coil with 50 Hz to vibrate. About a rubber diaphragm of the pumping effect occurs. But now comes the Hammer: The plastic of the anchor was no longer able to hold the magnet. The anchor tore until finally broke completely apart and the magnet was wrong. From the dream of a great pump! A spare anchor is not available anywhere. If the manufacturer has this constructive deficiency after many years of production of these pumps really not noticed? Or is this an intentional rupture, with the sales of new pumps to be backed up? I think it is an intentional breaking point. I have one more Eheim 200 (2 anchor) with approximately the same operating time. Since the same deficiency is also just one: A plastic anchor has dawned.
