"Asterix & Obelix - On Her Majesty" I found so far very interesting because it packs two comic stories into a film. Such interpretations are in my opinion not bad and I'm basically always open to it.
What really bothered me was the very large personal distance between Asterix and Obelix. That's the feeling her absolutely contrary to what one knows it from the comics ago. Normally, they go through thick and thin, argue now and then, but it is always an emotional bond between them. Because the actors of Asterix change from time to time, I got used to now. He acts in this film as in the predecessor unfortunately far too youthful. The actor of the first part was optimal because his age in the film roughly corresponded to that of Obelix-actor Depardieu. And in my mind are both roughly the same age. Also Teefax and the Normans were in my opinion not really hit well. A recognition, or a parallel to the comic, I expect despite new elements already, because most viewers have probably already read the comics before. The portrayal of Julius Caesar was absolutely appalling. Since the first performer was best because this was even kidding, but has nevertheless taken a certain majestic dignity, as illustrated always nice also in the comics.
As I said, my expectations of the real films are not really high, but something you can certainly do better without great effort.
