Looking for a jazz / fusion guitar in the style of Les Paul I have tested some copies Epiphone, Gibson and Hagstrom. The workmanship of Epiphone is currently sloppy at first glance. Hagstrom, also made in China, on the other hand was far better. Then I looked more closely at Gibson. The production of the newly unpacked copies was very good, but not flawless and the model choice in affordable segment, if you do not thin lacquered satin, Vintage Gloss, and glittering like Candy paint, limited. So I came to the Samick Greg Bennett series and the copies that I could test were made clean. The fingerboard wonderful, very well adjusted at the factory they can withstand fairly low string action. The sound also leaves nothing to be desired. Thus, you get tuners like Gibson, a set neck, Bindings like the expensive Gibson and a clean finish for the money Grover. For me it has therefore one of the best price / performance ratios.
