I am very happy for the time of my purchase. The sound quality is decent (and I'm require) with headphones that I use (Philips - SHE8500 - Mini-ear headphones). Can watch youtube videos (and other sources) is nice (although it is not a main feature for this kind of devices) and MP3 compatibility + WMA's not too restrictive. Personally I use WMA encoding of Windows Media Player, variable sampling rate and sound quality set to 3/5 ("requires approximately 37-63 MB per CD"), which should be equivalent to that problem without a MP3 encoding at 192 kbps (constant bit rate). Battery life seems satisfactory (the autonomy announced 25 hours of MP3 seems entirely credible) but be careful with the sharp loss of autonomy, irreversible after prolonged storage and thus unloading => recharge at least one once every 3 months. This is the case for the lithium-ion, and probably also for the Lithium-Polymer used for this device. Otherwise I also appreciated USB 2.0 (high speed): The timing really not behind! I recommend buying a bag / sock for this player that deserves one hand and on the other hand has a plastic back that mocks pretty quickly.
I give it 5/5 (provided that the device works properly for at least 2 or 3 years).
