This camera is really fast. So fast that an SLR can hardly keep up! If you are looking for a small camera to make snapshots you are exactly right with the Nikon 1 series. Personally sufficient image quality by far. All in all a great camera for beginners. Lots of great gadgets are also on board. In addition, I would still recommend the lens 30-110 VR. After 2 complaints at Amazon I had the camera, however, in the store, a little expensive to buy.
