The most important advance: The lamp is in a pleasant warm white and can compete in terms of brightness and light color loose with the previously installed 60W bulb. The GE LED bulb is not dimmable and also go to without delay. For me, the dimming is not relevant, but just in this context, the GE is very positive on, for my other Osram LED lamps (Superstar Classi B25, also non-dimmable) have a delay of about half a second - the Superstar Classic A75 (dimmable), in turn, has no delay. So GE shows that can not get going Dimmable LED Bulbs loose without delay.
The GE lamp is compared to the Osram lamp slightly smaller but above all much easier - but the Osram is also stronger with 14,5W / Heller. Size and weight can be used as necessary, also depend on the increased output. What I like better in the Osram that the "lamp shade" is closed - it is so can also be used in visible lamps. The GE lamp is above partially open, which can be annoying.
Up to this point so everything is quite positive. What makes me a little thoughtful is the durability. Since this is both the GE and Osram in practice still have to prove I give it time no deduction ... Here nevertheless the comparison.
Opposite the Osram is the GE lamp with just half indicated to burn time (15,000 h vs. 30.000h). The number of switching cycles in the GE is in comparison very low: 7,500 vs. 200,000 (Osram). That would not even 5% of shifts Osram! That might not be bad -. When the lamp in the bedroom, for example, is used and might be turned on in winter morning really only at night and should - after all, the lamp lasts so well 10 years. In the stairwell or hallway, Osram It might not have the advantage.
Conclusion: price / performance, I find perfectly fine, only the partially open construction on the lamp top and speak the possibly less durability compared to the Osram against GE. Otherwise, the GE lamp is a very good choice - assuming you do not need dimmable, lamp.
