Noble design made by Sony

As Sony at IFA 2013 presented the headphones I was by design (MDR-1R in miniature) very pleased. After the price has fallen from 150 to around 100, I slammed. For comparison, I had ordered from another supplier the AKG K452 for also 100.
Let's start with design and processing:
The AKG acts against the Sony cheap and rickety. Mostly he is not even properly trimmed. The cables are very thin and arouse no great confidence.

The AKG sound spongy-light. Voices sound as if behind a very thick curtain and the sound itself is undifferentiated. When Sony is a powerful bass Lightly squeeze into the foreground, which can be regulated but good by EQ. Mids and highs, however, are balanced. The voices presence is remarkable clear for headphones this size. Compared with the MDR-1R I own and have also reviewed, he sounds a bit more restless than its big brother.

AKG headphones donated a high-quality hard case in which two very thin cables (with and without inline remote control) will find also head listening good protection.

Sony adds only a cloth bag and also two cables (with and without inline remote) but which are markedly higher quality than at AKG.
Should also be noted that neither of the two in-line remote control with Android ICS compatible.
Conclusion: The AKG K452 can still compete with the Sony MDR-10RC neither the sound in the process. Only the hard case can convince. Why Sony is accompanied with a foldable and portable headphones for EIA 150 only a cloth bag and no hardcase a mystery to me. It does not provide protection in any case.

Addendum:
On request with Sony Mobile, I was advised to use a OMTP CTIA adapter for my smartphone. This allows the use of in-line remote control with older smartphones. So ordered Adapter from Sony and TA DA, it works as it should.
