Below my result:
The objective iProtect Smart Cover is a decent product, but it has not come in terms of comfort and quality to Apple's Smart Cover. However, for my needs, it is sufficient and 30 are the small portion not worth more to me quality.
In Detail:
- I can not share the experience of some reviewers, after which the cover has some kind chemical odors. It is completely odorless.
- The Sleep / Awake Function of iPad Air is working properly, I once so far not had a single problem.
- The magnetic parts that attach the cover make optimum use of the room to the edge of the iPad, so that the housing can not scratch.
- The cover can in principle be as shown in the pictures in 2 different ways to use a stand. However, on this point also a negative aspect is given. The two magnetic particles that attach the cover on the iPad are so constructed that the casing in it must snag when necessary for establishing "hooking". And it is this process of hard hook requires depending on the desired setting position a hard hook before or after the magnet elements. The facts are hard to describe. So Let us remember best that any "change of position" requires a Rumgepfriemel to the magnetic particles. This inconvenience has not Apple's original cover. There, the cover is so magnetic that none corresponding hard hook to the Magne mounting elements are needed and a "change of position" is no problem. When representational iProtect the described fact means that there is sometimes the cover detached at once from the iPad in hand. A putting up with one hand is - in contrast to Apple products - not possible. This point of criticism on its own does not sound at first "look" so tragic, however, is quite nerve-consuming for everyday use. A reason for me here deduct 2 stars.
- The second criticism is that the cover is not 100% is "congruent" with the iPad. This is - lying in the nature of things - too difficult and also not fully guaranteed with the original product. But you can comparison sake hold for the purpose of better conceivability that if the original product covers 99% of the iPad, 95% are at iProtect.
I would iProtect Smart Cover buy again, because 30 price difference is quite a lot for me. If that's not so goes, is better off with the original Apple product, just the light of these weaknesses.
They make in the end with either of the two products is something wrong. Have Fun!
