Why did not I buy a more expensive BD player? 1. Up to 400, - I according to the Amazon recessions no better quality in view and 2. In 5 years no longer kuckt Bluray. The next media is ready. Buying here is from me only reasonably permit and a privileged view of ne BD. Without any lag and without background noise. I was willing to compromise.
For noise, I have compared this with Panasonic DMP-BD75 (old stock), Philips BDP3300 and Sony PS3slim. The older Panasonic DMP-BD75 and the Philips BDP3300 cause still acceptable noise noise at BD playback, no beeping, just a gentle murmur. The PS3 is 3 times estimated contrast louder than the above two. The new BD-77, however, caused a really annoying beeping high that in 4m distance at low playback volume (quiet scene) can be heard clearly. This is not sustainable. Tested with 15 different original purchased BDs. All appliances and BDs self is as follows: The respective drive noise to be heard are the most at the beginning of BD and decrease with increasing duration from. This seems due to technical reasons. For all devices, the noise is from about 40 min. barely audible. The beeping at BD77 is still there, but quieter. You skipt back it gets louder again with each chapter, you skipt to an end in accordance with again quieter. For DVD playback on the other hand to hear except the BD77, hardly drive noise. CD I have not tested this since I still have it a really good CD player and would never do with so ner box. (With the old DVD player Pana S75 could it but still!).
BD playback ran during my tests with all 15 BDs but completely without any lag, that's at least something positive.
A few more details estimates of mine:
++ Backside 1x USB, 1x LAN, so you can reconnect a WLAN stick with USBspannungsversorgung. BDLive then via USB Front
++ Remote control makes a solid valued typical Panasoniceindruck
oo status indicator (formerly Panasonic display called) rather modest, only the title, chapter, elapsed run time, total playing time display
- Media playback via USB very poor:
- Photos in jpeg format - no
--DVD Structure of HDD or stick - no
++ Mpeg2 - yes
++ M2ts - yes (HD Video Camera, AVCHD 1080i)
++ Mkv - yes
++ 720i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p - Yes
- Xxx.mov - NO (Canon SLR EOS 500)
++ Mpeg.ts HD - yes
- - Mpeg.ts SD - no
++ Divx - yes
oo miniDV Avi - No (but which can no device, so no special media player)
+ MP3 - Yes, but very simple graphical representation
For all video playback, there is no file information display, such as bit rate, resolution, audio track and so on !!!
Display front - disaster, during playback the elapsed playing time is more angezeigt- not going yet. But all other messages are outrageous, made letters of numbers that is not legible and cheap. Panasonic You were times better, no you were once top!
Networking features / Internet applications:
- Only 2 portals: youtube and ace.trax.Movies
- Youtube I've tested. The portal opens relatively quickly, compared to other media players, to a computer can not be compared, because it is already very ponderous. Viedeowiedergabe ran relatively (not absolutely) liquid. Even YouTube account login to work to access their own favorites.
Conclusion: if the drive whistling / -piepen not would, then you could use the device as a simple player, so not at all.
Have black decided ultimately for the Philips BDP3300 / 12 Blu-ray Disc / DVD player (DivX Plus HD WiFi-ready, USB 2.0).
