Previously, I had used a surf stick. But who had poor reception and was always quite warm. I also could not get going the Surfstick on my laptop under Linux. The Huawei E5330 has solved all the problems in one fell swoop. It will not be warm and I can place it at the lowest place in the apartment. In addition, I can now also surf the tablet to which fits no Surfstick. Too bad that no charger, but only a short PC cable is. But this is probably the avoidance of electronic waste. The configuration with the browser of your PC is quick and simple. With the mobile app on the tablet, however, I did not get along well and have there the desktop version enabled. There are a number of settings that I do not need all, or understand :-) (but it is a help here). Battery level and signal strength from the mobile network can be displayed in the browser. Likewise, the consumption data, wherein the monthly usage is displayed. The range and battery capacity I have not maxed out and can not talk about specific report. My whole apartment up on the lawn in front of the terrace is covered sufficiently. Mostly the modem depends on the power supply. In battery mode is adjustable so that it idle, the Wireless disconnects after 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Toll I find the function that the modem can log in to another WLAN and thus can be used as a repeater.
