I use a Canon EOS 600D and a 18-55 goal and it's very stable and reliable.
+1 For the spirit level integrated into the quick release plate, he had to think.
That said, there is one "defect" causes me to remove a star to this product .. The 3D movement of the patella and panning controls are the same wheel. Result if one shakes wheel to hold the device in place, no possible horizontal movement (for panoramas, for example); and if one loosens, panning is possible but the whole ball is moving, the unit loses its position. So little practice for the panorama and video, panning function of the patella is unusable.
Besides this detail, this foot doing a very good job, and for that price, I really have nothing to complain (sold in 99 Fnac and among photographers, purchased 54 on Amazon, is stunning!)
You'll notice I put "default" in quotes: it is in my opinion first linked to a commercial logic than a real design flaw, the head of the top model, more expensive, offering 2 different wheels to settle the ball and panning.
