The selection is not too big and too expensive of fun should not be, so my choice was on the Lumia 635. That's something the big brother of the currently advertised everywhere Lumia 630, but unlike this LTE on board and also dramatically improved SAR value. Even a 32 GB SDHC card to 8GB of memory because, of which more than 4 GB is available, then something little, if you also listen to music on your phone or wants to take pictures.
The changeover from the old phone was simple - insert both cards (micro SIM and Micro-SDHC), charging device with the supplied power supply and after registration to the existing Microsoft account all addresses were automatically synchronized and the 635 was ready.
The first impression is very good. Even if the back cover is made of matt plastic, and the back is opened by bending this lid, the whole thing does not look cheap or carelessly handled. It fits comfortably in your hand, is pleasantly light (my old phone was almost twice as heavy) and the screen resolution is acceptable for this price range - a HD screen of course you do not get, but scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. In strong sunlight the screen you wish for ever slightly lighter, on the whole, but all is well and clearly, the sensitivity is very good and the response times short.
For the resolution with 5MP camera there are unfortunately no flash; if the lighting is good, but still beautiful pictures can already get with the default settings.
Voice quality is excellent and the battery life, which of course is highly dependent on the nature and extent of use, perfectly acceptable. The battery is also replaceable - that do not get out a lot of much more expensive devices.
Operation is as comfortable and fast (Windows Phone's a pretty slim operating system), the depositing of apps and data on the memory card enormously practical.
Right I'm excited but two functions, the Nokia on the way are his device: Here Maps / Drive and Mix Radio.
The first is a well-functioning maps or navigation software with a feature: The cards can be loaded in domestic WLan down and then used offline;
This saves so a lot of precious data volume in mobile phone contract, but you have to go online if you want to get the traffic information. Transnational navigation is possible without problems (using the example of Berlin - Warsaw tested); the GPS reacts significantly faster than our Navis and the cards remain of course always right up to date.
Almost more chic is Mix Radio. On the one hand it can be used as a kind of free music streaming service - if nothing special. But even better is the second feature: I choose home from an extensive list of artists 3 from that I like or that interest me and share with the app that they should create me a mix thereof. The app now takes title of the artists (for classical music fans, there is a lot) and packs more pieces of other bands / artists to go perhaps in a similar direction and could meet my taste in music. Each title I can then vote on request, whether he likes me or whether I would rather it not be considered in future mix.
This mix, I can now also make available offline - a simple push on the Mixsymbol enough and the songs are loaded in domestic WLan down and then left me on the road for hours of listening to music without loading the data rate available.
Bottom line, the Lumia 635 is an inexpensive but very well-equipped mobile phone with decent processing and some really great features. Strong buy recommendation for anyone who can make friends with Windows Phone operating system and want to invest a fortune in his phone.
