Total failure.

The second of the supplied energy-saving lamps 9 watts, 8000 hours, 6000 circuits is defective after 1496 hours and 3600 cycles.
Total failure.
Addendum 3 on 26.09.2013
The third of the supplied energy-saving lamps 9 watts, 8000 hours, 6000 circuits is defective after 1498 hours and 3600 cycles.
Total failure.
That would now three out of 5 lamps. See original review below.
In the light itself, of course, remains the recommendation to buy, watch out because only the maxmalen diameter of ESL of 28, better 27 mm, because they have to buy spare prematurely.
This is consistent with the way the image of all life energy saving light bulbs in our house newly installed. Total losses to less than 1000 hours.
Once in this reviewed here lamps L9 x E14 9 Watt,
but also in
10 x E27 20 Watt Ecobulb, here leave the lux values after 16 months by dramatically to 80%.
Our 11 normal fluorescent lamps in the workshop and on the floor holding the way for 20 to 30 years.

Measured from me: standing upright opal glass, the overall length is 230mm (25mm base height, 40mm Conduit, opal).
At a right angle bent opaline the swing radius is 175mm
These dimensions can respond to the pivotal areas of cabinet doors or the ceiling height.
- The dimensions of the light source on the inner packaging as small printed the 35 mm diameter and 127mm length are about to read anything hardly.

You need to die:
For mounting with the included dowels a masonry drill bit 7.5 mm and a Phillips screwdriver PH2 for Phillips screws.
This then adjusts for the housing screws of the pedestal.
For the screws of the terminal block, you need a Phillips screwdriver PZ0 or a screwdriver 3.5mm
It makes sense that the screw terminal strips before the actual mounting on walls or ceilings untwist.
The opal glass according to drawing non-rotating but just sliding insert.
This avoids black scratches that look from the metal frame ugly and could lead under certain circumstances when heated to break.

However ideal there where plenty of light is needed immediately.
Sample calculation lifetime:
Our kitchen, four activations per day revealed 6000/4/365 are 4 years
or
per Day 3 hours burn time is 8000/3/365 are 7.3 years
so I have to start from 4 years.
In the picture 7 is a daylight lamp ESL 230V E14 9W 2700K 450 Lumen
compared
with a Opalglasleuchte Halogen G9 230V 40W 2700K 340 lumen seen.
Caution my photo colors can not be compared with the color perception of the eye.
The ESL is so bright that you would like to look into it in the long run despite opaline not directly.
With us there is a power savings of 5 x 40 watts = 200 watts minus 5x 9 watt = 45 watt
of 155 watts.
These are 0,155 KW x 3 hours x 365 days / year x 0.25 cents / KWh = 42.43 euros ie after one year, the new lamps have paid as much for theory :-)))
On photo 8 you get a taste of the night lighting, but it is locally extremely bright to the human eye. As deceptive picture.
About the quality of a ECOBulb 20 watts (100W) only better illuminated and ignited faster.
I can About the color temperature from 2700K to say anything in the room are three types of lamps ESL deployed all 2700 Kelvin for my naked eye is virtually no substantial differences determine.
If the ESL prematurely give up the ghost there is a supplement here.
