At first I thought the lamp is broken, but then it turned out that the transition between the thread and spherical bulb is so short that the center pin is not touching the contact of the socket. The lamp is therefore not useful in many versions. After the thread would get a longer cylindrical portion.
The light is bright and pleasantly warm.
