Big annoyance is that unfortunately a side focus error in the lens was present, which is also not correct. Was the focal point at the center of the autofocus focused absolutely sharp. Shifted to the focus point on the side, the focus was about 4-5 cm behind the targeted object. My request for Sigma has shown that such a phenomenon can not be corrected because it is not a general focus problem that the entire image is the same. Sigma wanted to push the same error also on the camera, a D7100 and has claimed that the objective has not really all that much to do with the autofocus. I should let first time adjust the camera. But now operate all other lenses I own completely free of errors at the camera. For my taste, it makes itself as the Sigma-Service a little too easy. A second objective of the same series showed the same mistake. Now the good piece goes back and I look around for a different lens. A star so deduction for the focus error, and a star deduction for the excuses and dubious service information from Sigma.
