So much for history. Before I write I have to tell two details about me: I was a teenager in the 80s and at least at the time I was sure a nerd. Anyone who can say the same of himself / needs, this book should really love. This whole scavenger hunt works namely exclusively via details to music, movies and games from that time, because the creator of the OASIS was an unworldly Nerd also who has devoured all. Accordingly, the book is pervaded by references to this period, and any reference with which I was able to do something (different films, Rush, Falco, etc.) has, I conjured up a smile on your face.
Conversely, I am afraid that everyone on it does not, can not do much with the book. While it's written in liquid, even in the original English well understood if one is familiar with nerd terms, ME has endearing products and hateful antagonist, but lovingly over the whole story distributed details of the 80 (+ - a few years) make so much space that it all does not help when you have no connection at this time.
But as I said, for me as a child this time the story was wonderful to read and has even led me to hear a few songs from that time again and I 'Pretty in Pink' to view. I now need not necessarily still read a second book, which is constructed according to this concept, but this one time has it really fun.
One point I draw from in order to preserve a little objectivity, therefore four stars.
