First of all, in our household, diverse generations stack of Gigaset handsets, the oldest (still functioning!) A birth year so have around 1995. Meanwhile, the entire telephone system incl. ISDN S0 basic replaced by a FritzBox Fon 7270, at which the various Gigasets with basic functionality even prima worked (apart from a few firmware-related failures, thank AVM), but the more advanced features such as call records and answering machine lacked precisely. The new AVM DECT handsets can now enjoy not necessarily have the best reputation, so it should again Gigaset. After the testing of the new SL-series very mixed up are indeed sobering, the choice fell on the upper middle class, ie a S79H handset, and this is actually finally a really good step by Siemens. The DECT interface runs over the internal Fritz menu absolutely painless and quick, the default setting (0000) will be determined automatically by the Gigaset and coupled immediately. Furthermore, the S79H has a clearly readable display with successful and finally time responsive menu navigation, and the most important: The S79H works very solid together with the Fritze 7270 and offers the most advanced features directly over the menu, available without annoying shortcuts. Missed calls and new messages on the AB are signaled on the handset by flashing red LED and are immediately available. These good to very good call quality (HD telephony is supported) and the usual pleasing business design in valued processing. So far we are very satisfied and can S79H highly recommend to any DECT-enabled Fritz box for VoIP-en.
