Samsung S24B350 (170)
---------------------------
+ 60,96 cm wide (24 inches) screen size
+ 250 cd / m² brightness value
+ 2ms response time
+ 170 ° horizontal / 160 ° vertical viewing angles
+ Magic Angle
~ HDMI & VGA input (HDMI cable is not in!)
Screen Size
-----------------
The few mm are negligible.
Brightness Value
---------------
25% more brightness when S24B350 make a positive impact on its good contrast and black level. This can be set in the on-screen menu at will, eg. As it may give you the HDMI Black Level (what makes the difference between black and gray!).
When S24B150BL Black was not the same black - but rather a dark gray. The poor viewing angles of S24B150BL the supposed Black mutated then also like to have a light gray - depending on where you looked at the monitor.
Reaction time
-------------
250% more speed when switching S24B350 (gray to gray). Sounds a lot, but relative to see, as the human eye perceives this difference is not aware and the fast response time rather a sign of a higher quality panel (see also viewing angle). For gamers, this is however quite important because the monitor is used not only for the office but for video games or movies, where are fast moving on the agenda, a fast panel is always a better choice, since making moving images a "liquid" act and for the brain are less strenuous.
Viewing angle (main argument)
----------------------------------
Some 100% more viewing angles when S24B350. This is the main difference between the two monitors. The more viewing angle the better!
For example, if you are sitting in his office chair in front of the monitor, then it should not matter whether one reclined or upright sitting in front of the monitor. When S24B150BL would have every time the tilt angle of the monitor to adjust, otherwise the picture - though considered only from a slightly different angle - is too bright or too dark; so similar to the 3D Sammelbildchen if you are not at the right angle looks it.
Although the feature Magic Angle is the S24B150BL exactly remedy, but this feature can be found at this monitor at all (more on that).
When S24B350 contrast it does not matter how you sit in front of it, if you look from the side, from below or on top of it, the picture is always compliant and stable perspective.
MagicAngle
----------
Once again, in no uncertain terms: The S24B150BL does not have this feature. While this is under "Technical data" on the product page of Samsung, but lacks Properties. Since I had ordered the monitor first, I can confirm that the S24B150BL this feature definitely has not. A look at the manual (enclosed CD or online version) can also miss the enchanting Magic Angle.
But: It is true that S24B350 MagicAngle - but it is there also really just a gimmick that creates the visual impression of improvement slightly at extreme angles simply by raising / lowering the gamma value. Nice marketing gimmick for tech fans, but at the S24B350 superfluous. Good monitors, or their Panal, have something only not necessary.
Connections
----------
Both monitors the important cable is missing. A 15pin D-Sub (VGA colloquially / analog) cable is included, but they could also be present because nowadays rather not use this.
When S24B150BL you have to order a standard DVI cable to the S24B350 a standard HDMI cable (if your graphics card has an HDMI output, otherwise a DVI to HDMI cable).
CONCLUSION S24B150BL - DEFICIENT
----------------------------
The S24B150BL is deficient despite the LED backlight and slim design, but precisely because of its extremely poor viewing angles and the associated optical Kontrastärme. Samsung has built here a cheap / lower quality panel, which turns out to be a closer look at the technical data as absolute subclass.
CONCLUSION S24B350 - GOOD
-------------------
Instead, one should grab for less than 30 euros for longer necessarily S24B350. Here is the article description also holds what it promises. In this price range the S24B350 is certainly one of the best monitors. What I lack is a height adjustable stand for the monitor, this is probably due to the design - for me, however, negligible.
(For gamers: For about the same money you can here even more access to the models of BenQ A look into various tests of any PC Magazine pays in advance to..)
CONCLUSION Amazon - insufficient
-------------------------
What the wrong item description and the mixing of the reviews in terms - as one can already speak of deception on customers. Because I believe that not so tech-savvy customers are so often led by the nose. Mir has introduced the unnecessary hassle and stress, therefore I find this service deficient. Here Amazon should urgently rectify.
That MagicAngle incorrectly appears in datasheet S24B150BL - surprising - but websites were just never a guarantee of trustworthy information.
