Below I will list what is negative, I noticed in the transition:
- Samsung prevented by software restricting the haptic feedback on touch screen (press)
- Samsung doesn't install Notification LED
- HDMI is also not possible with the S4 mini
- Camera sound can not be deactivated and unnecessarily loud so the clicking sound meant when photographing
- Has already crashed several times and got stuck
The first two points are struck me particularly negative, so I wrote to the Support of Samsung. According to these, such functions are "built" only in the premium mobile phones from Samsung. Consequently, the S4 Mini for the manufacturer itself only a low-cost version is ..
A notification LED I find important, it blinks occasionally and you do not check constantly consuming if messages have arrived. A temporary solution is to use either the Root'en the lower illuminated keys or to install the NoLED App.
The haptic feedback is me personally much rather than when the keys constantly produce beeps, office disturbs something unnecessarily. But one would probably also the mobile Root'en.
The closure / clicking sound when shooting can also be switched off only with root privileges. Otherwise apps like SilentSnap, Camera ICS, .. you can install, set the phone to silent temporarily.
From the other performance-wise, I can associate myself with the official test reports. Only the lack of HDMI via MHL I find a shame. The performance would loosely enough to give a little to play with it on TV around. The only solution is Miracast (or at Samsung: AllShare). How the case is with the latency Miracast would have to consider in any case makes it either expensive / new TVs or additional hardware required.
In daily use, I noticed sporadically long black screens, probably pauses. In some cases, only the removal and replacement helped by the battery. The frequency such problems I find when compared to my previous phones later.
