I have a Sony Mini DV Sony camcorder bought in April 2006. I had noticed that occasionally inserting a tape appeared the message "dirty head, use a cleaning cassette." After reading on forums, I realized it was my Sony premium tapes which were originally. Sony tapes use a lubricant that generates this type of warning, if we alternate them with a tape of another brand. The solution for me was simple. I was 10 Sony cassettes purchased in 2006 and 20 JVC or Panasonic. I decided to lay the Sony, which in any case had had their day and procure 10 from another brand. But here we are in October 2014. These camcorders are no longer. The stores do not sell practically cassettes of this type. My luck is that we find many things on Amazon. And I found for a low price this lot 10 Panasonic cassettes. Received in two days. Not in a carton as the photo of the product, but loose in a Kraft envelope. None of the ten were damaged. I have all tested. RAS. Very smooth running. And the message no longer appears. I hope to extend the life of my device, which offers the advantage of owning a color viewfinder, very useful in times of strong sunshine, while the screens resent daylight. Buy recommended for people like me who still have a device of this type.
