Cool packaging by the way, so with retro Wackelbild, which depending on the angle a different light effect the Box
illustrated. In the pack there is plenty ... then precious little. In addition to the speakers, there is a
USB cable, a charging adapter for the power outlet and a guide. A bag or a 3.5mm jack cable
would be at the price perhaps can still contribute.
Since the speaker battery is already preloaded, you can get started right away. In the peaceful setting of a out
-average living room has the highest level what is here at one-third of the potential level still below
Zimmerlautstäke falls achieved. Moreover, even disco and could entertain neighbors.
At such levels, the unbranded Billigheimer must fit under the Bluetooth speakers long usually. What is pleased that there will be no distortion or interference even at very high volume.
It is indeed criticized in almost every review for JBL pulses, the device would be a bit underpowered in the bass range.
That's true, unfortunately. But is not to say that no bass is audible.
But more importantly, yet the overall sound.
Although it may be a subjective sensation: The sound is convincing in every respect.
Here no sound frequencies are left out, it sounds harmonious and clear sonority and volume
agree also. Overall, I like the sound much better than the Bose SoundLink mini - and this
applies, after all, as a reference in the segment of compact mobile Bluetooth speaker.
In terms of technical features and design of Pulse plays naturally the effect map.
The lighting effects are produced not only exceptional but also really
Top staged. This is made possible by 64 mounted around the device LEDs,
eight rows, eight LEDs high. At closer look, each of the 64 LEDs from
16 points of light divided into two rows. The whole is under a non-woven, which comprises
Diffuses light something which eventually creates this tip effect.
Is managed throughout by a revolving metal grid.
"Lid" and the bottom of the pulses are rubberized. Upstairs are operating options
for different lighting effects, brightness, color selection, on / off, pairing, loud and soft.
At the bottom of a NFC-coupling is possible. The revolving LEDs through a 3 cm
wide point interrupted. This area - also gummed - includes a USB port
To charge the battery, and a 3.5mm AUX jack to also devices via Bluetooth instead of wired
connect to.
Furthermore, the area serves as a horizontal stand when. In the case, however, no cable must be connected.
Incidentally, a position sensor is installed which detects whether the unit is upright or horizontal. However, that has at times only a single light effect effect, namely the Equilazer-light effect. Too bad, because other effects would certainly look good if they could also run horizontally.
One can the good piece of course operate without light effect, then the battery lasts loud
Manufacturer specifications twice as long by so to 8 hours.
I once let the first full charge until the end Jolen about the battery: with light to full brightness
I came to 4 hours and 30 minutes, then it was only dark and quiet, 10 minutes later
was in every light, the Pulse has shut down. Very good value, I think.
By the way, the device weighs about as much as two normal gummy bags, 18 cm high and
has a diameter of 8 cm. The battery holds 4000 mAh and can also via Micro USB in operation on a
Hung Power Bank.
The charging current of a USB 2.0 connector, such as the laptop is sufficient to operate the speaker from, but for
simultaneous charging rich 0.5mA then barely.
When using the supplied charging plug the Pulse is fully charged within about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Now briefly to JBL app:
In my case, Android version, but there's also free for iOS in the respective Appstore. She calls herself
"JBL Music" and is not intended solely for the pulses. Allerdins the program recognizes the Pulse
and thus also offers several remote control options. Here you can also new lighting effects
Loading and testing. The speaker itself can store 5 different lighting effects that in themselves color
can be adapted and brightness. If you want to import a new effect from the app, a must from the
Remove speaker.
Otherwise the app is an ordinary Musikapp, where you can create playlists, among other things and depending on the
used JBL speakers or headphones could adapt by Softwareequilazer pitches - if you wanted.
The onboard solutions of mobile phones and tablets are here usually better, especially not an app must be open.
JBL Music is structured somewhat sluggish and confusing. For Pulse-light experiments but definitely a gain.
For light effect you should still say that the brightness of the LEDs is always properly perceived even in well-lit rooms. To illuminate a dark room, it is not enough unless you like it very dimly. The light color is also not as good as on illuminated panels in the space above, looks more like the light of a solitary TV in an otherwise dark room.
The price / performance ratio of JBL Pulse I find questionable - but only as long as you draw any comparisons.
Compared with what competitors ask for significantly less or even worse in the market, then you go for 169,00 Euro (state 02/2015) just without penalty fine.
So five stars from me for the JBL Pulse, the Bose SoundLink have mini in direct comparison even
five star deserves, but I bought the JBL.
