I changed a few years ago from the bridge cameras to DSLR. At the beginning I did not quite so much money in my lenses investing (partly from ignorance and partly because I was not sure whether I would stay with the DSLRs). To my initial endowment belonged beside the 18-105er Kitobjektiv what was actually a very good choice, also a 55-300er Nikon (well). Little by little, I then bought myself a fast lens, because so is simple and flexible, even under difficult lighting conditions can also shoot without a flash even super photos. Another aspect is the beneficial aperture that is my camera at 7.9. When I with a zoom with an aperture range from 4.5 to 5.6 a few steps fade, then I'll come fast in the area where the flexor blur increases. Tamron makes that even at full aperture tack-sharp pictures - even if I fade two stages, I am far more than the beneficial Aperture. The "missing" 100mm to my 55-300er bother me at all - the image quality is so good that can be image content very good crop. Meanwhile, I had the Tamron at a wedding and a motor sport event in action. The pictures that I have taken are crisp and brilliant. The weight of 1.5 kg makes search definitely noticeable - I recommend to replace the standard neck strap through a strap, the one puts on the shoulder (eg Sunsniper or Carry Speed)
