When the phones arrived, my father actually decided initially for the Doro PhoneEasy 612, as it was of all models on children (in the closed state). So just everyone has their preferences :-).
First the positives:
The mobile phone has any positive criticism that has gotten it deserves! My father got along very well. We would like to keep it, but ...
Our downer
... The reception was worse than in the old predecessor mobile phone of my father. I know that we have problems with the reception in the country. Hopefully there will be some other time. At present, however, we can choose only 1-2 network provider, because nothing else can think of. As for testing the same SIM card is used, the only difference being the particular cell phone. And in Doro PhoneEasy 612 an antenna appears to be installed, which was not up to our added difficult conditions. In the room was no reception in some places (Red Cross shone), to another no to a just beams. For a senior mobile phone with emergency key for us that was unfortunately an exclusion criterion. Too bad.
I called and asked if a replacement phone or a different model could the remedy at Doro. The customer service was very friendly and eager. Another Doro Easy Phone 612 would not change anything, I was told. If perhaps the UMTS network could think better than the GSM network I could try it with the Doro PhoneEasy 615. It took some explanations until I understood that smartphones such. As the iPhone, load data in the UMTS network. However, my iPhone had with my father-even a bar, so that was not the riddle.
I tested my way through the other ordered models. Emporia V33i never actually fell out quite the reception, but showed only one bar, where at the end of the Panasonic KX-TU325 came up to rich 3 bar! The decision was therefore taken away from us by the external circumstances. Now I order probably once a senior clamshell from Panasonic in comparison, because my father felt accepting by opening and end the call by closing as pleasant.
