Does what it is supposed to protect. Of course, something is lost, the fine texture of the thin iPad Air 2. But a death you must die; protect or scratch. The shell is however already relatively thin, the Apple logo "radiates" nor :-) The Smart Cover closes, yes, it's not quite flush with the glass due to the very edge of the bead of the case, but the function is perfect. The cover also remains to when the iPad with the glass turns down. The tactile feedback of the buttons is somewhat lost, or rather, you have to press a little harder. On TouchID sensor you can feel the bulge of the case when there hangs the finger to unlock. Well ... As I said, something on pleasant feeling lost, for me it is compensated by the good feeling of protection. I would buy it again.
