Once I wanted to set up a network-enabled satellite receiver to a place where there was no LAN cable, I tried it first with wireless internet access. But despite "only" 8 m distance from the router and 2 walls, the bandwidth was not enough to smooth streaming HD. So I bought this adapter and within 2 minutes into everything. While the maximum speed is far below the advertising promises on the box, but since it is enough for my application, I am satisfied. Unpack - switch on - running.
