We have 3x in use had the shell (Ipad2 & 3). With heavy use, unfortunately sometime break the edges at the corners (12months o.mehr.). Ipad is excellently protected, feel is very good. The iPad fits comfortably and securely in your hand-has something of a velvety surface and therefore does not slip.
