I have a Raspi b + and use it as an IPTV receiver and media player. Unfortunately, I have the Raspi periodically Grrfikklötze and dropouts in the image. Also, the connection with a LAN cable does not improve. (Currently WLAN) I bought this performance deficit to compensate me the banana pi. Having ellenlang search for an image for a standalone XBMC installation and I had comilieren the PVR clients together (thank you for the help Ryad, see Rezessent below and Forum on lemaker.org) I tried the IPTV out. I was disappointed. The picture ran in constant slow motion. I would have hoped for a bessseres result of the better hardware! Furthermore, I can join the recession of Ryad. Little sophisticated software, difficult for Linux newbies (no sudo package for manual installation - detour via the file manager of XBMC etc.) May be the device for another use more stars would have reached. But under the circumstances I use rather continue the B + with 750MHz overclocking. But I am still curious to see what software will be available in the future for the banana. As long as the Banana Pi remains for me a "banana product" -> it matures apparently only at the customer!
