The first start was simple, to save time in the channel sorting I have a manual search is started only on those transponders on which lay the desired station. The sorting station has actually lasted a little, because you can move only one station at a time, but you should take the time quiet as you can save the station as a backup on a USB stick later and after a firmware update so if necessary or reset the receiver to factory settings, all stations can read easily, without having to manually sort everything again. (On the Xoro side there is also a program to all stations easily on the PC to sort)
As we I can receive Astra 19.2 here in Jordan already relatively at the border with a reception 1.80meter bowl ("DX-Emfang") in addition .. not roughly assess the tuner sensitivity, which corresponds approximately to the reception in bad weather
In this respect, I am completely satisfied with the Xoro:
We have two DVB-S receiver, a cheap receiver for 15 euros and a "middle class Receiver" for 35 €. While all receivers stronger Astra can receive 1H transponder, eg TP 12110 H, 11798 H or 12032 H shows the low cost receiver for the transponder 11954H until no signal, and the middle-class receiver are on 12051 V and 12422 H only pixel mud from , while the Xoro on those weaker frequencies still displays an impeccable image.
As the sensitivity of the tuner Xoro but strikes against the expensive HD-competition, I can not due to the lack of equipment not tell.
Arabsat / Badr and Nilesat I welcome the way without problems ..
With the rest of the functions I'm completely satisfied so far:
+ HD image top
+ Recording (with timer) and Timeshift on USB and external hard drive work fine (Anfags there were problems because of some hangers in the shooting, solution was the hard disk with 64KB cluster size for formatting means "fat32format gui")
+ Customer service is not to be outdone, after 2 hours I got a response by e-mail
+ Price
+ Design and compactness of the device
+ Backup option for channel lists
+ Continuous development of firmware Xoro
+ Many playable formats via USB
However, there are some shortcomings, the person does not bother me particularly:
- The total on from standby out to the TV screen is 13.2 seconds
- At the time settings, the summer time is missing
- The level indicator is relatively "blunt", an additional BER display or similar would be desirable
- The remote control sometimes reacts actually a bit sluggish, but by no means serious, so falls the one after a week use barely on.
All in all I am very satisfied with the device.
