The book is really good read. No complex sentences, vocabulary appropriate but not too simplistic held. The main character is sympathetic, Chris Colfer has managed to portray the twins very complex. Sometimes they act very mature for her age, but then they are again children who are scared and do not know what to do. Also you can see how the naive children logic but manchnal the complex adult logic surpasses.
I think, the beginning may be a bit long-winded, but never boring and the rest of the book has really swept me. The "one-liners" (there's a matching dt. Translation?) Are a highlight and bear witness to Chris Colfers humor.
I really do not read books that are intended for children over 8 years. You can tell some of the story lines, I could think of, but in some I was surprised. Also are some things that are addressed in the book, once not so perceived kids as you will see later as adults. The quotations of some character are complex, yet comprehensible for children and can be superior to a multi-level. The book makes a thoughtful.
Chris Colfers debut succeeded. I would not call it perfect, but it still gets 5 stars from me. IHC am to subjekitiv.
I recommend this book further in any case.
