- Some key hook with time. This makes it suitable explicable only by manufacturing tolerances in or on soft plastic. The key stuck in an upper shell and are held upright inside through the contact silicone mat. So far I had five (permanently) hooking keys. That's really too much.
- The key travel is naturally not comparable with a feathered IBM keyboard or previous Logitech keyboards. But you get used to it quickly and can thus also more fluid writing. The keystroke is not as spongy as it may suggest the relatively low key drop.
- The flüssigkeitsabführende drainage in the keyboard actually works. Today a glass coffee me is poured over the keyboard and is then immediately came out again below the keyboard. As a technique to build the man then of course still apart and kills by probably the WARRANTIES (two screws underneath a sticker). Interestingly: the contacts remain inside dry by the construction. That is, even if you do not disassemble and shaking out immediately, you can continue to work well with this keyboard. That's very positive.
- Previously I had a Logitech S520 (mouse combo) and feel the MK520 kit now than progress. The controls are designed well (buttons for volume and media player). Above all, both devices - Mouse and keyboard - a power button and a LED. This is crazy convenient for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
- Of the special keys I use so far only the far right of the calculator.
- Before buying I had long looked and compared me previously bought only a MK260 kit, in which the mouse is quite wonderful in the hand. When MK520 kit (K520 keyboard and mouse M310) is the feel but no worse, but it comes with the aforementioned switches and the small Unify receiver.
Most mice in this button mouse combos are terribly in my view.
- Battery life is very good - the consumption in the mouse of course higher than in the keyboard and use-dependent.
- The weight of the (relatively light) mouse is good from my point of view as well as the size for large hands suitable. Many wireless Logitech mice less than 50 EUR are much too small. The weight of the mouse can be optimized over the battery / battery selection.
- The scroll wheel of the mouse has no lateral clicks, only the center of the center.
- The Amazon estimated price of € ca. 37 EUR I find ok. More than 40 EUR I would for this set but do not want to pay, even if I look at the keyboard, mouse and screen as the interface between man and machine and would not save there otherwise.
- The rubber beneath the keyboard is better than in previous versions, that is, narrower and more solid. The feet are fully rubberized.
- The transparent plastic frame around the keyboard is purely cosmetic and has no other additional function.
- The keys have a Logitech typical abrasion. Now, after six months of operation shine with me almost all the letters. On my old Logitech S520 at the end even the labels were gone. This should not happen in a brand keyboard actually. From my experience with Logitech but unfortunately normal.
From me there for this product 3 out of 5 stars because it is "ok" and better than some competitive products, processing technology still has much room for improvement and Logitech apparently wanted to save money at the expense of quality here. This is also the optimized design inside: compared to previous devices, everything is designed somewhat reduced.
