The player replaces my old Philips BDP2500 and the Sony is with the Quick Start feature a truly nifty device.
Socket on, the player will start up in seconds and reads, in my opinion, even BDs much faster one.
When reading he gives short charging noise from, in operation, a slight humming noise is noticeable, nothing more.
The remote control is small and handy, absolute average. Safe for big sausage fingers is not optimal.
Image Quality:
Significant increase my Philips. Much more homogeneous, more beautiful black levels, increased sharpness and a great tracing. For this, the settings in the Video menu is relatively extensive. See self-DVDs over my old Philips a tick better.
The pyramid design looks at all photos significantly exaggerated, as in reality. It's very discreet, more likely to guess. On the upper side, the lower right corner, it outputs a triangular button for on / and open the disc tray.
From the front to the rear, the height increases slightly.
The small white power LED should be noted as well as not in the dark home theater, daytime you have already rather listen to the player whether he really is on or off.
The Sony BDP-S4200 not even reach the size of an A4 page, which is probably because that has been stored the power supply to the outside.
For 70 there is a great player who works fast and beautiful qualities audiovisual offers. The menu is known of the PS3. Not exactly a beauty, but good to use.
Updates fold over the USB stick you reibunliest here so often nothing good, or perhaps an update must be found).
For disc-only users but a nice all-round package!
PS: The player has no display, if someone should disturb.
