I have the camera now almost 2 weeks and am after about 250 pictures and some video footage very pleased with the all-rounder. Have previously predominantly fotorafiert with my little Lumix DMC-TZ7 and made many videos, in between (if space was) was additionally used my Canon S3IS (slightly smaller than the FZ62). Have been missing me to produce usable shots in low light precisely at the TZ7 the manual settings and the property. There's only a larger lens and many manual settings. After about 3 weeks of intensive research, I finally opted for the rather large Panasonic since given her all important opportunities for me were: Very fast start the camera, tripping time is very short, low-light shooting even in automatic mode useful , good battery life and battery indicator (as a reserve battery I have a cheaper alternative to Orig. found), completely sufficient zoom range, good focal length and a good to very good picture and video quality. The pictures look very natural with neutral and non-coated colors. In the video footage I like not only the quality and the clean stereo recording (Wind.- and Zoomgeräsche interfere much less than in the TZ7 is the case) but also the clean auto focus during zooming or with moving subjects. Very nice also the manual mode for video recordings (eg. One. Autofocus). Before buying I was a little uncertain with respect to the 16MP (would have liked to be 12MP), but can now say that you get a very good quality with many creative possibilities for the price. In my opinion, the Lumix TZ62 is ideal for many hobby and amateur photographers who do not necessarily need the RAW recording mode and financially are not willing to go into the next higher camera class.
