The keyboard comes in an environmentally friendly cardboard. Component is also a USB cable, the keyboard can be recharged.
For battery life I can not make any comments in the short time of course.
The keyboard is provided with a Alurückseite. While this looks very chic, and fits well with the iPad. But it is extremely scratch-prone. Every little grains on the table leaves its mark. But that would be a plastic back otherwise. Without scratches it never goes well up.
Another disadvantage of this back is that they can easily slip on smooth surfaces when writing. I personally had to accomplish something repeatedly. I think two small rubber bands at the top and bottom or left and right, the design would not diminish and help to scratches and slipping.
The front is made of black plastic in piano lacquer. Looks very classy, but I would not necessarily want me here a glossy surface, since every fingerprint is visible. Although this can wipe clean very quickly, but since you now constantly with his fingers on it rumtippt, it is always littered.
The keys themselves are roughened, so that no imprints occur and thereby also the typing feel is improved. However, I can here my speakers do not agree, with regard to the volume and the value you type. I do think that the buttons could be a bit quieter. Considering the price you can overlook about it here but thoroughly. And I think no one will work for hours on this keyboard.
What I find really great, the magnetic connection when closed, and it is also used on the original cover of Apple. Here then slips nothing. The keyboard then hangs perfectly on iPad. Sleep and wake-up function function properly.
Just as impressive is the one-click to write. Simply push into the groove and the mount works automatically from the keyboard, the iPad can be leaned against. I like it very much.
Anyone who reads the manual, will quickly find the power switch - I had to look no further!
The coupling is as always super easy at Apple. Is the keyboard once connected to the iPad, it must be turned on only when iPad Bluetooth enabled and away you go.
Unlike the anchor iPad case with integrated keyboard, it is written with this one much better. Here not arise so many double letters, like the built-in keyboard. I had there very criticized.
When tested here I have only sporadically the problem is that the space bar is doubly recognized and so spaces are set too much. Perhaps I write too fast.
With the FN key, some keys have two functions. Here can return to the Home screen, adjust the brightness, use copy & paste function, forward and rewind, mute, or louder and quieter.
Overall, this keyboard does not replace a full course, but they do not want too. For a short or medium-length typing it is worth absolutely. And as a cover replacement is then always there when you need them. Of course, that goes to the weight and the ease of set up is gone. But unlike the case with integrated keyboard, this can be here so simply peel from the iPad.
As such, I find the keyboard a major triumph. If you can live with the enumerated here little weaknesses, I can make a recommendation.
