My first choice was the HD Protector of Hoya, who wanted to when I buy the protective filter shortly,
was unfortunately just not promptly available. As an alternative I have for the neutral protection Clear filter
decided by B & W, which was only slightly more expensive and also was able to produce rave reviews.
At first glance the price seems steep, especially because I have the relatively large 77 mm - need variant.
However, since the price of the lens was many times higher, which is an investment that I enjoy
was willing to make.
The filter is supplied in a functional plastic box, which also accurately and discreetly
is padded. Processing has an extremely high quality and that for me amazingly high weight
the narrow filter gives a solid sense of security. ;-)
The front cover of the lens does not fit though as perfect as before with screwed filter
yet are strong enough and only minimal imprecise - definitely tolerable.
After some comparison pictures with and without a filter I could not have a negative impairment
the image quality notice. Very mind you but I have that my dealing with the expensive
Lens is more relaxed since the use of the filter. Dirt and dust, which
constantly and inevitably (now on the filter) collects on the front lens, I wipe now
easy off and has to have no more fear to smear the lens or scratching does.
That was the whole point!
CONCLUSION
When it comes to filters for lenses opinions are so well known, apart.
I do not want to miss it (at least compared to expensive lens).
A small piece of glass, a large piece of safety and protection for the valuable lens without the
To deteriorate image quality visible, which makes taking pictures for me much more relaxed.
Full points and full recommendation from me!
